  24. I, too, wrote a program that does this.  Well, not exactly; my program
  25. converts to Sun rasterfile format (".rs"), but then any standard
  26. graphic conversion package can convert that format to GIF.  I went
  27. through great pains to get the color palette as close as possible to
  28. what the Commodore 64 produces, so the resulting images are very accurate.

  30. The program is called dd2rs.  It can convert either Commodore 64 Doodle
  31. (hi-res) or KoalaPainter (multi-color) files.  The C source code (and some
  32. sample GIF-converted graphics) can be found at anonymous ftp site
  33. "ccnga.uwaterloo.ca" in the directory "pub/cbm/graphics/DD2RS".
