- I, too, wrote a program that does this. Well, not exactly; my program
- converts to Sun rasterfile format (".rs"), but then any standard
- graphic conversion package can convert that format to GIF. I went
- through great pains to get the color palette as close as possible to
- what the Commodore 64 produces, so the resulting images are very accurate.
-
- The program is called dd2rs. It can convert either Commodore 64 Doodle
- (hi-res) or KoalaPainter (multi-color) files. The C source code (and some
- sample GIF-converted graphics) can be found at anonymous ftp site
- "ccnga.uwaterloo.ca" in the directory "pub/cbm/graphics/DD2RS".
-
- Alright, now that I got my plug in I can return to my regularly-scheduled
- day. :-)
